Ever since I began writing this blog, I started researching on how much money professional bloggers can actually make. While the answer was no real surprise to me, but it was indeed interesting to find out as general information.
Professional bloggers write blog entries for their clients - usually large corporates wanting fresh content on their corporate blog containing expert knowledge on a particular product or subject. The wage that these professional bloggers are paid varies. It really depends on the budget of the corporate, the website traffic of the blog, the quality of your blogs, and possibly many other factors as well.
Just like me while I was researching on this subject, this broad answer is not good enough. So I managed to find some actual quantitative figures. Professional bloggers can be paid for each blog entry which usually earns them about $7-$12 per post. Or they can be paid on a monthly basis with a quota that they have to meet per month. The monthly wage ranges from as low as $100 to over $1000. Again, this really depends on many factors as I have mentioned in the above paragraph.
So even though writing professional blogs have the potential of making lots of money, but you are unlikely to make a living out of it unless you participate with at least two large corporations. The more plausible choice is to work in an upper management position within an industry and to leverage your expert industry knowledge to earn additional streams of revenue through professional blog writing.
