Even More ApPEALing Banner Ads

So I mentioned online peel ads in a previous post entry titled ApPEALing Banner Ads as the newest trend of online advertisement. VideoEgg, which is a relatively new company, has taking the concept of peeling banner ads to a new level.

The concept is simple: just peel the banner ad, leave your mouse on the banner for several seconds, then a advertisement video will appear on your screen. This actually combines two different online ads together: one being a peeling banner ad, and the other being a shoskel which is essentially a mini video that pops up on your screen when a page is loaded.

In a marketing perspective, their video ads (called AdFrames) will work better than any other form of online advertisements. Not only does it provide interactivity, but it shifts the control from the advertisers to the actual web surfers. It will work and it is definitely earning VideoEgg lots and lots of big bucks. Its pricing model is based on a Cost Per Engagement, with engagement being defined as each time a user roll their mouse over the ad and wait for the 3 second delay to view the ad video.
