Canada’s cell phone market is ranked as one of the most expensive for consumers in the world. However, the increasing competition from new entrants such as Wind Mobile, Moblicity and Public Mobile has finally introduced affordable cellular packages ranging from $25 to $45 per month including unlimited calling and unlimited data.
The pricing offered by these cellular companies are attractive enough for consumers to want to consider switching over from their current cellular provider, but the question on most consumers’ minds is whether their cellular coverage is reliable or not.

Disclaimer: Use these websites at your own discretion as reference only. All tower locations are registered with Industry Canada so these maps can be a valuable tool, but there are many factors that can affect the reliability of cellular coverage. The best way to test the coverage reliability of a provider may be to try it out firsthand or to get the opinion of someone who is a subscriber of the particular provider that you are interested in.
Cellular providers such as Wind Mobile, Moblicity and Public Mobile operate on their own CDMA network as indicated by the tower maps. This means that coverage outside of areas with cellular towers from the provider will be charged in addition to your coverage plan as roaming fee.
