When I think about some of today’s most innovative companies, Apple is one of the companies that first comes to mind.

In the cell phone industry, Apple uses only one product line to single handedly dominate the smartphone market. When they first launched the iPad, it quickly became a laughingstock among businesses and consumers. Everyone laughed at the product as being just a larger version of the iPod Touch. However, a few years later, we can see that this single innovative product created an entirely new market that did not exist prior to the introduction of the iPad. Companies such as Research in Motion and Samsung are desperately attempting to dominate in this emerging new market. This is why Apple is one of the most influential companies that has been established in the global market as a trendsetter for innovative technology.

Several weeks ago, Apple launched their highly anticipated iPad 2 – an upgraded version that is faster, thinner and lighter than the original iPad. However, many critics are skeptical about the whether the newer version of the iPad is worth the extra money or should they opt to purchase the original iPad instead at a marked down price.
